Producing quality organic cannabis seeds at scale requires a fairly large footprint, but we pride ourselves on producing our genetics as sustainably as possible. From a massive solar array to organic inputs - we do our best to reach "net zero."
Certified Organic Seeds & Non-GMO Seeds
We received our Oregon Tilth/USDA Organic Certification in 2020 and are still one of the very few certified organic cannabis seed breeding companies. Unfortunately neither will work with our THC or THCV Seeds, but the vast majority of our CBD, CBG, and CBDV seeds are certified organic. In addition, the vast majority are NSF Non-GMO Certified.
All of our seeds are produced using organic methods, and all are Non-GMO - including out groundbreaking triploid seeds. If you are growing any of our THC varieties and need to demonstrate Non-GMO, non-treated seed compliance to a certifying body, we have an organic seed statement for growers available. Sustainably Grown Cannabis
In order to offer seeds that we know are what we say they are, we do all of our seed production runs in fully sealed greenhouses. This ensures there is no cross pollination from neighbor fields, or between any of our lines. It does require a hefty amount of electricity, but to offset it we installed 2 acres of solar panels with 1.1 megawatts of solar generation capacity. This was a huge step to adding "net-zero" to the list of positive reasons to support GTR Seeds.
